hosted by Aozora Community Foundation
THURSDAY - JUNE 1, 2017
7-10pm
at Shapeshifter Lab
18 Whitwell Pl., Brooklyn NY 11215
Aozora Community Foundation invites you to our second annual gala! Enjoy an evening of food, drinks and entertainment with a possible visit from our favorite taiko kangaroo. Come celebrate with us Thursday, June 1st at ShapeShifter Lab in Gowanus. Bring a guest, grab a drink, sample some Japanese tapas, hear some brilliant musical guests and bid on some incredible auction items. Your ticket purchase will enable us to expand our programming and after-school events so that we can continue to nurture precious young minds. Come join this community in celebration and fun!
Aozora Gakuen (translated as “Blue Skies School” in Japanese) was founded by three mothers in 2012 to fulfill the needs of Brooklyn families looking for a preschool which could provide quality education rooted in Japanese values, morals and spirit. By teaching our children to think globally and embrace diversity, to respect their bodies, their environment and nature, our activities tie directly into the development of the balance between independence and interdependence; self-respect and empathy for others; creativity and collaboration.
Watch the video to find out more about why we love Aozora Gakuen so much.
